Are there different types of Contact Dermatitis?
The two types of Contact Dermatitis are allergic and irritant or toxic dermatitis. Allergic contact dermatitis is an inflammation in the skin due to contact with external substances. Allergens substance can come from jewelries and other personal care products. While irritant contact dermatitis is characterized with redness and blister on the skin. Unlike allergic dermatitis, it occurs even with no previous exposure to the offending substance. And, the immune system is not also the reacting factor. The causes of irritants are classified as chemicals.
